This report gives detailed information about the Ministry of Social Development's housing support, the demand for and the supply of public, emergency, and transitional housing, and the movement of people through the public housing system.

The Housing Regional Factsheets provide a closer look at housing in New Zealand's regions. The factsheets compliment the Housing Quarterly Report. Each factsheet gives MSD and the housing sector a localised view of the progress MSD is making to bring on additional supply, and how we support people with their housing and accommodation.

Social Housing Reform Programme (2013 - 2017)
This section is a collection of Cabinet papers from 2014 related to the creation of the Social Housing Reform Programme (SHRP). The SHRP was a cross-agency programme of work. The programme commenced in 2013, and its initial priorities have now largely been implemented. In the first half of 2017, the agencies involved refreshed the SHRP programme to reassess desired outcomes and priorities.
