Children and Families Research Fund

New funding round opening soon!

Applications for funding from the Children and Families Research Fund will open on Tuesday 3 July 2018. The round will be open until Friday 31 August 2018.

The fund is dedicated to exploring policy-relevant issues using anonymised data from the Growing Up in New Zealand study. The Growing Up in New Zealand study is New Zealand’s largest longitudinal study into child development and growing up in 21st century New Zealand.

The fund is open to applications from government agencies, academics, public and independent research organisation, and non-government organisations.

We strongly encourage researchers and policy professionals to co-develop research proposals with strong policy relevance and high potential impact.

We also welcome research proposals that meet the evidence needs of Māori and Pacific peoples, as well as those which build capacity for research with longitudinal data among all types of researchers, including early career researchers and those outside of academia.

This webpage will be updated with information for applicants on Tuesday 3 July 2018.

Note – the Children and Families Research Fund transferred back to the Ministry of Social Development on 1 November 2017. Previously the fund was managed by Superu, which will be disestablished on 1 July 2018.
