Household incomes in New Zealand: trends in indicators of inequality and hardship 1982 to 2007
This report provides information on the material wellbeing of New Zealanders as indicated by their household incomes over the period 1982 to 2007.
The analysis is based on data from Statistics New Zealand’s Household Economic Survey (HES).
The report draws on the 2006-07 HES to update the previous report in the series which had information only to 2004
The report is scheduled to be updated in mid 2009 using data from the 2007-08 HES.
