Information for approved medical alarms suppliers prior to 1 March 2012 only
Introduction
The Ministry of Social Development is holding an open, competitive, selection process for determining which medical alarm suppliers will be accredited to supply medical alarms funded through the Disability Allowance.
The Ministry's approach has been to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) asking respondents to demonstrate how they will meet:
- end-to-end service specifications (which cover alarm installation, the equipment, maintenance, monitoring and response)
- appropriate technical standards
- quality assurance requirements.
The RFP also asked respondents to propose a pricing structure for their service offering. This RFP has now closed and an evaluation of the proposals is in progress.
