SuperGold Card

The SuperGold Card is a convenient discount and concession card.  It is issued free to all eligible seniors and veterans, and those under 65 years of age currently receiving New Zealand Superannuation.  The SuperGold Card is issued automatically once you have been granted a New Zealand Superannuation, Veteran’s Pension or some other form of assistance from the Ministry of Social Development. 

If you don’t qualify for any of the above listed assistance, you will need to apply for a card.

This card gives access to discounts from a wide range of businesses nationwide.  It also facilitates access to government entitlements and local authority services and concessions.

You may choose to have your photograph added to your card to use as photo identification if you have no other such form (such as driver licence or passport).

If you are eligible for a Community Services Card, this will be indicated on the back of your SuperGold Card by the letters ‘CSC’.
