Community Links
What are Community Links?
Social services in New Zealand are moving towards a new way of working with and in the community that takes a wider view of people and families in need.
Community Links are part of this new approach and are a model for the future.
Community Links are where people can get help for a range of needs by a variety of social services and agencies centrally located in one place. These services could range from simple financial assistance through to advocacy, support, education and counselling services.
Community Links have private meeting rooms available for you to use should you wish to have a personal conversation with a service provider, as well as a community room for use by community groups and agencies.
Community rooms are available for use by community groups and agencies, and Community Links are places where you should only tell your story once because services will work together, and with you, to help you reach your goals.
Each Community Link is different and you will need to contact your local Community Link for information about services and agencies.
