Territorial Local Authority Benefit Factsheets

Territorial Local Authority (TLA) Benefit Factsheets are the first set of information to be made available through a new, interactive reporting tool on the MSD Website.

The TLA factsheets start from March 2006. No historical information is available for these reports.

Notes

1. Where variables within the TLA factsheets total less than five, and possibly for some related variables, the data will be suppressed or presented after merging certain variables together. For instance, with some TLAs, the number of people on Unemployment Benefit for the ages 18-24 years may be too small, so this data may be added to the 25-39 years group and shown as a total figure for the ages 18-39 years.

2. Trends in numbers receiving a benefit are more reliably shown by comparisons between the same quarter 12 months apart than by comparison between consecutive quarters.
