Statement of Intent 2003
This Statement of Intent, outlines the strategic framework of the Ministry and what we want to achieve over the next three years and beyond.
Since our inception we have continued to ‘join up’ the social policy and the service delivery functions so that we can better deliver to the Government, government agencies, local government and our clients.
The Social Development approach allows us to focus upon the needs of particular client groups to deliver to them what they want. For each of these groups – children and young people, working age people, older people, families, Whanau and communities, hap and iwi we look at the issues, where we want to be and how to get there.
