Highlights of 2007/2008

In partnership with government agencies, individuals and organisations, a variety of initiatives and programmes have been developed to address Waikato’s important social issues.
Highlights of work include:
- Introduction of the Integrated Services Response to support at-risk families and individuals
- Appointment of specialists advisors and co-ordinators to provide more cohesive and co-ordinated support for people with ill health or a disability
- Workshop for employers dispelling the myths around employing people with ill health or a disability
- Launching of the Hauraki Economic Development Strategy
- Launching the Social Wellbeing Strategy for Hamilton City
