Statement from Qian Xun’s grandmother

Today, is a traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which is a day for all the family members get together. However, I come here with grief feeling to arrange my daughter’s funeral. At this moment, anyone who has a conscience would understand the deepest pain in my broken heart. Few years ago, An arrived New Zealand with a beautiful wish that to seek for knowledge and to complete her dream that to pursuit happiness. However, she is closed her eyes today and can only keep her unfinished business wished forever. My family and I and all An’s friends in China are bearing so much regrets and bitterness that beyond description. Therefore, I want to condemn the violence that the murderer did to An, and I’m asking the Police Agent to arrest the brutal criminal as soon as possible, and punish this criminal by law and give back the fairness to An and all the people who loves An.

An was my only daughter and Qian Xun is my only; granddaughter, we all have the same blood and heart together. Hence, I will bring my daughter back home, and let her rests peacefully in the homeland China. I will bring my granddaughter with me as well, I want she grows up healthy in a safe and warm place that well protected by us. Qian Xun has been unfortunately taking the enormous pain herself, yet at the same time, she also experiencing the truest love that gathered by hundreds and thousands people who continually giving hope to Qian Xun with care and loves. In China, there is an old saying for “great love”: for a drip of water, we should give back with a spring. We will let Qian Xun remembers the great love, and we feel we have the responsibility and obligation as well as the financial ability to provide and environment with care and love for Qian Xun. We feel An wished us to bring up Qian Xun to become a virtuous and honest person with good ability to this society, hence, to give back her love to this world. Therefore, for all the people who cares and loves Qian Xun, please understand and support us in all the ways.

During this unfortunate event, we received great helps and warming commiserates from everywhere in the society. Right here, my family and I want to say thank you with our most sincerity to the general consulate of People’s Republic of China in New Zealand and Melbourne, for all the helps; thanks all  the police for all the things that you have done to help us to seizes the murderer; thanks all the media friends for your justical supports and condemns to the public, and especially, we want to thanks for all the people who are caring us and helping us to take care of my daughter Qian Xun. At last, we also would like to present our respects and thanks to the police agents from New Zealand, Australia and the U.S.
